Device Integration QA Specialist

As the QA Specialist responsible for Device Integration you will be primarily involved with the quality assurance associated with adding support for new biological signal and data acquisition devices to our next generation, leading edge cardiology tool kit.
This tool kit is the foundation for all of our new state-of-the-art cardiology diagnostic and management systems which integrate with a diverse array of medical systems and devices to provide physicians and health care providers with the front-line tools they require to manage and combat cardiovascular disease. It provides the visualization and a markup tools necessary to assist the physicians to efficiently and effectively interpret signals and provide a diagnosis; tools including digital filters, automated measurement and editing tools, and automated analysis and diagnostic algorithms.

- Working with the Device Integration development team to produce the detailed test cases and procedures required to thoroughly verify and validate support for new devices.
- Work with our other project development teams to facilitate the smooth integration of new devices into our existing management systems.
- Assisting in the continued development and improvement of CardioComm products and procedures.
- Creating, updating, and reviewing detailed specification, design, code, and test documentation; facilitating the documentation of, test plans and test cases, interfaces, release notes, bug fixes and scope changes.
- General product testing for the CardioComm product line.
- Recording, tracking, and reviewing quality problems.
- Researching quality problems as needed.
- On occasion, providing customer end-user and technical support in various customer settings and environments.
- Testing to ANSI/AAMI EC11, EC13, EC38, EC57 testing as required.
- Ownership of assigned quality assurance tasks.
- Identify risks and create risk mitigation plans.
- Work closely with the Quality Assurance Manager to ensure quality assurance tasks are completed in a timely manner and in accordance with our quality system.
- Work as a skilled, self sufficient, self directed, and self motivated individual who is able to take direction well in order to see an idea from inception to completion.
- A bachelor degree of Engineering or Computer Science; or a technical diploma or certificate, plus equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 2 years of practical experience in a software oriented quality assurance role.
- Exceptional practical knowledge of Windows operating systems (XP, Server 2003, Windows 7, Server 2008), networking, and computer hardware.

- General understanding of the software development lifecycle and development tools.

Practical experience:
- Developing and automating testing procedures.
- Testing applications that visualize and manipulate digitized signals; such as biological signals, sound recordings, and telemetry sensor data.
- Development Technologies; C#, WPF, WCF.
- Development Tools; Visual Studio 2010, SVN, NUnit (or other unit testing frameworks), NCover (or other code coverage analysis frameworks).
- VMWare based virtual environments.
- Automated load testing and profiling.
- ISO 13485 / IEC 62304 / ISO 14971
